Job Opportunities
- Whether Local 6 members decide to stay at home or travel for work, the outlook is positive. With the Windsor Casino currently underway and new projects such as the East End Recreation Center – new home of the HOL Windsor Spitfires, and the
$60 million Windsor Regional Hospital expansion slated to start soon.
Training
- In partnership with St. Clair College, Local 6 offers apprenticeship, upgrade, and safety training programs.
Wages and Benefits
- The current collective bargaining agreement runs through 2010. The journey-level hourly wage is $31.01 an hour with the first of three hourly increases becoming effective May 1, 2007.
- Comprehensive benefits include pension, RRSP, medical, dental, prescriptions, and retirement.
